2026 Hemp Ban Statement
Thank you all for years of support and hopefully years to come! We have been so fortunate to help bridge access to this incredible plant called Hemp to our vast customer base since April 2019. Our customers have always been and will always be at the core of what drives us to do better everyday and select the highest quality Hemp products we can find to increase the value of their lives through Hemp.
If you haven’t heard already, there is a ban coming into effect on the entire Hemp Industry on November 11th, 2026. The Bill is designed not to help regulate an industry that has been developing since 2018 but rather to remove its most beneficial components.
To avoid this pending catastrophe there are many efforts in action to help remove the harmful cannabinoids available on the market we see every day at the gas stations and amend or pause the upcoming date of enforcement of this ban. We encourage everyone to contact their local legislators, senators, state representatives, cannabis communities and more to help eradicate the Federal Hemp Ban and implicate correct regulations for the benefit of the consumers.
It is next to impossible to keep up with State or Federal regulations due to the frequency at which the rules are changing as we approach the November 11th deadline. The headlines we see need to be evaluated carefully and are mostly unreliable. We advise our customers to carefully review their local, state and Federal regulations in regard to the consumption and possession of our products. Why is this happening? Political posturing with the upcoming primaries, disregard for a consumer based regulatory effort, advancements of highly taxed medical marijuana programs and many other blatantly obvious events that make us question as to where we stand as a democracy.
Our industry has been asking for age gating for 21 years of age and up for sales, appropriate packaging, and more regulations for the production and the testing of the products we offer. Instead we are told that 95% of the products we offer will no longer be available to retail on November 11th at midnight. The specifics of this kill bill will change from what is set currently as below 0.3% ∆ 9 THC and will change to .4mg ∆ 9 THC per total package, as well as banning specific cannabinoids like ∆ 8 THC, CBG, and more. It is very possible that things may change before enforcement is put in place of the upcoming Hemp Ban but unfortunately we have yet to see progress made. If you have found help with any products from Alpine Dispensary, we encourage you to stock up while supplies are available.
Know that you are part of an estimated 46 million Americans that have found an increase in the quality of life through Hemp. Whether you consume to help with pain, anxiety, sleep, seizures, ease stress, to get away from alcohol or narcotics, help your pets or whatever reason our products will no longer be available to access for purchase after November 11th. The full scope of how this will effect consumers and the work force providing the products are beyond comprehensions.
Over 300,000 tax paying Americans will lose their job as a result of this. Billions of dollars generated in sales tax revenue will be lost. Over 40 million people will be forced to find another route for products to help them and many will rely on the black market. Please research and fully understand what is at stake here. Make an educated decision on what we collectively can do to help turn this around.
I never thought I’d say this because it was made legal in 2018 by the Federal Farm Bill but here we are… KEEP HEMP LEGAL!! Thank you for allowing Alpine Dispensary to help you with increasing the quality of your life for all these years and we hope to continue on for years to come! We will keep you posted as we get closer to the upcoming deadline.
